Lorenz Hanelt, born on 2 April 1963, has been a member of the Executive Board of Delvag Versicherungs-AG since 1 November 2018 and a member of the Management Board of Albatros Versicherungsdienste GmbH.  

After training as an insurance salesman at Gothaer Allgemeine Versicherung AG, Lorenz Hanelt moved to Gothaer Lebensversicherung AG in 1984. Already during his subsequent studies to become a business economist, he worked there in the area of company pension schemes. From 1991 to 2001, he held various group management positions at Gothaer. In 2001, Lorenz Hanelt was appointed authorized signatory for Gothaer Lebensversicherung AG and Gothaer Pensionskasse AG.  

In 2004 he moved to Albatros, where he held various management positions in the area of company pensions until 2010. During this time, he also pushed ahead with the development of pioneering new products, which are now standard in company pension provision. These include, for example, occupational disability insurance as direct insurance. In 2010, he took over as Head of the Occupational Retirement Provision and Personnel Insurance divisions, where he was responsible for the further development of national and international employment and collective agreement insurance solutions. At the same time, he became authorised signatory for Albatros Versicherungsdienste GmbH. In 2012 he was appointed a member of the Management Board of Albatros Versicherungsdienste GmbH.  In January 2018, he was appointed General Representative for Delvag Versicherungs-AG and appointed a member of the Executive Board with effect from November 1, 2018. 

Lorenz Hanelt is married and has two daughters.
