As a broker, Albatros has many years of experience in serving major airlines and customers from the maintenance, repair and overhaul/operations (MRO) sector in the aviation insurance market. More and more owners and managers of business jets and business jet fleets are drawing on this expertise.

What is a business jet?

A business jet is an aircraft used by business travelers, government officials or even private individuals instead of a scheduled flight or other means of business air transportation.  Due to the possible cruising altitude of sometimes more than 15,000 meters, business jets can fly more independently of weather conditions than most commercial aircraft.
Owning and operating such business jets therefore offers solvent customers particular flexibility, exclusivity and comfort - but at the same time is associated with financial risk for the operators. It is therefore particularly important to protect their assets against the increased liability risk - with a comprehensive business jet policy.

What is business jet insurance?

A business jet insurance policy is an annual aircraft insurance policy specifically designed to provide liability, health, hull and legal defense coverage for policyholders of business jet aircraft. The liability component of this policy insures property damage and bodily injury resulting from operations.

Business jet insurance policies can also explicitly cover property damage or hull insurance, which provides protection for damage to the aircraft itself.

Last but not least, legal expenses modules and various other benefits can also be agreed, such as off-airport repatriation, emergency services, trip interruption and medical services for passengers

Liability insurance for business jets is typically offered starting at $50,000,000 per claim and $350,000 per passenger. Depending on the intended use of the aircraft, qualification of the pilot, liability risk, etc., higher liability and passenger limits can also be requested.
